Kobe Sportswear Welcomes Chinese National Hockey Team To Canada

Kobe Sportswear Co-Sponsors Exhibition Match
Scarborough, ON (October 22, 2009) – Kobe Sportswear welcomes the arrival of Team China into Canada as they prepare to play a series of exhibition matches across the country.
The elite group of Chinese players will be facing off in a friendly exhibition match against the Burlington Barracudas Senior AAA Team on Sunday, October 25th 2009 at the Appleby Ice Center in Burlington, Ontario.
Kobe, a big supporter of women’s hockey is co-sponsoring the event and will be there to cheer on both teams. “Hockey is a rapidly emerging sport in China and what better way to play the game than with some of Canada’s best?” said William Chen, Kobe Sportswear Marketing Executive. “Perhaps we’ll get a preview of what’s in store for their preliminary Winter Olympics game against the USA in February.”
The Chinese Team qualified for the 2010 Olympic Games in Vancouver after defeating Japan 2-0 in 2008. “I’m happy because I will take them back to my hometown, Vancouver” said Paul Strople, the team’s head coach.
